Easy Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Cake
Steps
- 1
Line the air-fryer basket with parchment. Brush it with 10 g (about 2 teaspoons) of the melted butter. Core and thinly slice 2 apples, arrange them over the parchment, then sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar.
- 2
Air fry the apples at 180 C / 350 F for about 10 minutes, until lightly softened.
- 3
Meanwhile, whisk 2 eggs with a pinch of salt until smooth. Whisk in 150 g (3/4 cup) sugar until pale and creamy, followed by the remaining 100 g (7 tablespoons) melted butter.
- 4
Sift in 200 g (1 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour and fold until no dry flour remains. Mix in 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 tablespoon (1 1/2 teaspoons) baking powder.
- 5
Spread the batter evenly over the softened apples. Air fry at 160 C / 320 F for about 25 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- 6
Carefully invert the cake, peel away the parchment, and dust with powdered sugar if using. Let it cool slightly before slicing.

Student tip
Use less of the extra sugar sprinkled over the apples when they are naturally sweet. The 8-serving yield and prep time are practical estimates because the source does not state them.
